My students need the accessories requested in order to help prepare them not only for high school and college but also for success in their future careers.
I teach 158 exceptional students. These are 7th graders, ranging in age from 11-13. My students are extremely motivated to learn and love being my "guinea pigs". My students often come from low-income situations where technology may not be readily available.
My students are an amazing group of people that are ready and willing to be successful.
These kids show up every day and are prepared to be the best versions of themselves. They challenge me to be a better teacher every day.
My Project
My district has generously given every teacher a Lenova Yoga Chromebook N23. However, we have not been given a case, mouse, stylus, etc to use with it. I will be using this piece of equipment to help lesson plan, grade, and email families.
More importantly, my students will also have access to it in the classroom to be able to use it to help present projects they've created.
This will give them a more hands-on business experience and will allow them to feel comfortable when they are required to give more professional presentations. The accessories that are included in my cart are ones that are a must when it comes to protecting the longevity of the Chromebook with the multiple people that will be using it throughout the day. They will also provide real-world experiences that my students can carry with them into college and their future careers.
