Distraction Free Learning

My Project

I have 2 classes of 3rd grade students that sometimes have a hard time staying focused and on task during independent activities. I recently bought 4 pairs of noise cancelling headphones for a few students to test out and all of my students have taken a liking to them! When it comes to doing independent work, they argue over the 4 sets of headphones we currently have. I love that all of my students want to wear them, but we don't have enough for every student! They all agree that these noise free headphones help keep them more focused during our every day classroom routine. My hopes is that this project will get funded so I can provide each child a pair of these headphones during independent time. Providing these headphones will be a tool that will contribute to my students success! Currently, without the headphones many of my students find it hard to stay focused on their work/tests because they can hear what is going on around them. My hopes is that these tools will help them be more focused and engaged on their learning!
