Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from low-income families or single-parent households. Some of them live in Homeless shelters or in a shared home. They try to learn new things despite their circumstances. The students get most excited about hands-on and visual learning. The best thing to do for the students is to lay a foundation of learning, in order to have a better future.
My Project
With distant learning, students are easily distracted and discouraged of school. Having these colorful and engaging books will draw my preschool students attention on distant learning. These materials will allow me to show my students of different occupations, multicultural, health and safety. Unfortunately, COVID have taken a toll on the students and their freedom to experience hands on learning. These materials will allow the students to learn while at home and have fun learning. Help my students gain knowledge through fun story time. How fun it will be when the students see a doctor puppet reading the book about germs! or a nurse puppet read the book talking about the importance of washing hands.
