Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title 1 school with the majority of students receiving free or reduced lunch. The majority of students in our school are from Spanish speaking families. Many students come from disadvantages home lives with limited resources to support their social, emotional and academic needs.
My Project
Please help me give my students notebooks and pens to work on their writing and reading responses while on summer break. My students are also asking for folders to keep their work organized as well as binders for my students who especially struggle with organization. Colored pens are used for editing writing which several of my students prefer. In addition, I would like to add a writing center in the corner of our room to keep kids socially distanced from one another. Rolling chairs are highly motivational for fifth grade kids!
