My Students

I’ve been teaching for 22 years and it’s my calling. I have been at our middle school for 19 years teaching sixth grade English. I teach students who have been identified as gifted and advanced as well as students who need some extra help and quality for special education services.

I love them all, but there’s something about the students who struggle or don’t enjoy reading tell me at the end of the year that they love reading, or their parents tell me that they’ve never passed a state assessment until being in my class.

I live in the community where I teach and my daughter will be at my school in three years. We love seeing students and their families in the community. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support! There’s so much I want to purchase, but as a single mom the money is not always there.

My Project

The lessons I will be able to access from Teachers Pay Teachers will provide high interest, engaging lessons and resources for students during distance learning. I would rather spend my time interacting with my students versus trying to spend time preparing lessons. This does it all for me! The plans and resources I’ve purchased have been great! The students love them! In addition, I share the lessons with my colleagues so their students will benefit as well. It’s definitely a win win situation for us all! Thank you for considering donating to my class!
