I enjoy teaching 6th grade geography because it is the first year my students really get a chance to immerse themselves in this subject. I teach in a rural school, so students do not have as much exposure to the world around them.
The amount of growth I see in my students in 6th grade each year is always so exciting to experience as we work through our interactive student notebooks.
Getting to hear them talk about all the things they learned in class and getting excited about learning about a new country makes the time and energy worth it.
My Project
The tablet will allow me to operate google classroom from any location. Covid numbers are on the rise and we are starting to shift to distance learning. The Galaxy tablet will allow me to keep up with our google classroom from school, home, or any location.
I will be able to promptly post work from the tablet and will be able to record lessons to guide students through the work.
The tablet will also allow me to give quick feedback on lessons as students are working from home or various locations, depending on their situation. Having an up-to-date device will make distance learning easier and more efficient from a teachers perspective. We also would be able to use the device for future group projects where they could make video presentations for different topics.
