Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As an intervention teacher, I work with students in grades K-5. Our school is in its third year, so we are still acquiring resources to use with the students. We began this school year with K-3 at school each day and grades 4-5 in hybrid classes. We just changed to all students using distant learning due to COVID-19 and are adjusting our instruction and materials for online learning.

I need to obtain more online resources and games to use with my students.

My Project

The gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) is a great resource for teachers to find materials created by other teachers.

It is important for my students to have access to digital and at home materials so that they can continue to learn.

I will use the gift card to purchase digital phonics and beginning reading activities that my students can use through their online Google Classrooms. Also, I will find and provide games and other activities to send home to my students so they can continue to develop their English skills even when they are not online.
