Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We believe reading bold books and reading books at younger grades than other districts. We push for strong academic results. We are pushing harder texts, bigger ideas and things that are the most engaging to adolescents. We believe in affirming all of our scholars’ identifies and read stories about many cultures, languages, religions, family structures, personal identities and diverse experiences.
My scholars are driven and they rise to the challenge everyday!
The structure of our learning has changed and they want to continue growing.
My Project
Our school is currently closed and we are now moving to virtual learning. This was a decision we needed to make quickly and we are brainstorming ways to create learning opportunities for kids.
Scholars learn best with teacher instruction and an iPad will allow us to stream videos and capture teaching so that scholars can continue learning.
By having access to an iPad, we will be able to use apps like Explain Everything and Screencastify to digitally broadcast learning. A tripod will allow us to set up a location to capture virtual learning. These materials are essential to being able to create digital learning experiences.
