Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
During these trying times, I admire the willingness and dedication our families have shown. Our students come from low-income homes with different cultures and backgrounds. Many of my students are not exposed to everyday experiences and resources. I strive to provide my students with meaningful experiences that will help guide their learning.
My Project
My students love discovering new material and are always eager to ask questions about them. With the use of these small toys, props, and books, I can create lessons for them at home. It’s important for the children to visually see lessons through pictures and videos.
I am constantly posting pictures, activities, and ideas on our DOJO tool to help assist learning at home.
The Button center, linking cubes, and books will help me create activities, expectations, and examples to share with them. The materials will help assist me while modeling objectives for the lesson.
