Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students enjoy learning and interacting with their peers. Most of my students come from families of low economic backgrounds. I have a mixed group of EOs (English Only) and ELLs (English-Language Learners) students. My students are curious, hardworking, and amazing.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lot of stress and interruptions in my students' learning and lives.
My students' lives isn't the same. They can't attend school, and now have to rely on distance learning to continue learning.
My Project
Presently, I am using my personal laptop to connect with students and parents during distance learning. It has been tough utilizing my laptop because it's five-years-old and it's not working at it's best.
Serving my students during distance learning shouldn't be overwhelming and stressful.
I need a device that will not be lacking when signing online. Also, my laptop's battery life is ending. I constantly have to use my charger when I'm working with my laptop. If I don't, my computer will shut down when I'm working. I want to continue serving and educating my students. Having a reliable laptop will help me perform my job better, since I'll have a device that is workable and manageable.
