Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Things are definitely not the same! I look at my poor babies and their parents and sometimes I just sigh. My parents are tired. They are trying to juggle working full time and teaching their children. My babies can be challenging. Getting children who are Pre-Kindergarteners to work is an art! Children that haven't given me issues with doing work since the 2nd month of school, are proving to be challenging to motivate for their parents. It's also difficult to keep the children entertained with everything they need for distance learning. I want to give my parents and children things to do that will help to give them something fun to do to bond in a positive way.
My Project
There is nothing more important than learning to read especially when it comes to distance learning at home. I would love to be able to give my kids books so they can start practicing to read at home. We have been working on beginning reading and now they are at the point where they need to start practicing at home. Sadly, I can't give them our readers in the classroom. I can't even make copies of the black line masters that I have because we're not allowed at school. I really love these books because they teach a vowel skill. The first books have consonant vowel consonant words that have a, e, i, o, and u. I would love to give them books that they can then take and practice reading. Please help my children who are just starting to read the ability to practice on their own.
