These are unheard-of times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it would be our last day at school. However, the year is not over yet and we need to continue with their learning!
My students and I have started and tackled barriers that have come abut on the distance learning journey!
We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things. My students and I participate daily on seesaw activities and we do class dojo to go over new material, and to check in with each other. In addition, I am updating student's work at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I am stunned by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to try new things.
I never imagined that I would find myself remotely teaching from home, and that my students would be learning new material through learning platforms. We are looking at it as a learning opportunity for all!
The IPAD will help me elevate my Zooming with my students to teach them.
I can use the IPAD to share stories and texts to share on my lessons for my third grade students. I will also be able to use it with future classes in the classroom during whole group work or in small groups.
Once we excitedly return to school, my amazing special education and English Language Learner (ELL) students and Non-Lep students will benefit immensely.
