Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students challenge me every day to be great. My job is to inspire, encourage, uplift, reach and teach each and every one of them and their tenacity helps me to do that. During this time of distance learning their grit is unexplainable. That truly inspires me. This time has been scary for them in so many ways and the unknown is not soothing, but when an email is sent, a phone call is made, or another connection is made, the students find a bit of hope.

My Project

I am requesting a more advanced and larger capacity piece of technology to help carry the load during distance learning. No one saw this coming, but as educators our job doesn't stop with a disaster. The help and assistance from outside sources will not only help with the various demands and tasks mandated, but enable the students to receive a quality education at home. As many students and educators struggle with the change of distance learning, I want to move forward and embrace the new changes and advancement of technology. Doing this will not only allow me to ease the worries of my colleagues, but continue with the quality education for my students.
