Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Pre-K students are from a low-social economic community, where 95% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.
My students are focused on learning but need the basic materials at home to do so.
My students are the sweetest and the most hardworking even if it's from distance learning. I miss my students tremendously just as much as they miss me. But working from home has been difficult due to lack of basic materials at home. I know even my Pre-K students deserve to learn in a way that is exciting for them and their parents especially this month and a half we have left of school. I know having the basic supplies will help even the tiniest bit.
My project is to give parents and students basic supplies: jumbo crayons, notebook, manipulative materials, and basic arts and craft supplies.
My Project
Using the correct materials, notebooks and crayons, will aid in their continued education at home. Students have always drawn on their notebooks at school to use what they learned onto paper, but now they can do all that in the comfort of their home. Having something as basic as a notebook will be a reminder to my students that we are still learning!
Parents in our community need all the help they can!
By providing these basic materials will help tremendously in their child's education and make it a little easier for me as their teacher.
