Help me give my students the tools we need to craft and express ourselves through art as we create a class t-shirt during the distance learning quarantine.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are very tech-savvy and highly anticipate our weekly arts and craft day in which we complete a project related to the theme of the week.
My kindergarten students are bubbly, curious, and filled with ideas!
They work hard and have varying interests and learning modalities. In addition to whole group instruction, several of my students will benefit from independent, student-friendly interactive content to further instruction. I am constantly trying to find or create new projects and ideas that will challenge their little minds into bigger thoughts!
My Project
My students love to color, cut and paste. However, I would like for them to experience crafting. My students will be able to tap into their creative abilities as they design, cut and assemble their projects. With a bright pad to use with our Cricut Explore Air 2. The possibilities are endless!
I hope to create a fun and exciting distance learning environment with my students as we stream and work together in hands-on projects and craft activities.
Through the art of crafting, I can teach my students about art as a form of self-expression, the importance of having and following sequential order and giving back to one another.
