Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with the most awesome kids that just happen to have special needs. I love how excited they get when they learn new concepts and get hands on learning opportunities. The children at the school live in one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in the county.
We need school supplies to achieve our goal of supporting all learners at our school whether we are in-person or online.
We sometimes run short on the classroom essentials and that makes it difficult for students to learn.
When they get a new school supply, you can see their eyes light up like Christmas! It is the best feeling ever since getting the necessary supplies can be very difficult for a lot of the families. Any support that is given is absolutely cherished by our students, families, and teachers.
My Project
Our schools is continuing to learn from home due to the pandemic. My students and I have a hard time affording the tools they need to learn at school. It is critical more than ever to get materials into the hands of our students.
These bundles of school supplies are going to be amazing!
This will help so much with teaching from afar on Zoom teleconferences.
I am so excited to give these bundles of essentials to my students that have disabilities. They will not only make learning more fun, but it will help them understand essential concepts they need learn in class.
