This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Teaching now has become very challenging but we will rise up and meet these challenges for the students we serve. Here in the state of Michigan like most other states the schools have been closed and will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. We have been teaching via videos that we create, videos found on the internet, online curriculum programs, and packets put together and provided by teachers, and our charter schools curriculum team.
Chromebooks have been provided to families that did not have access to the internet and several packets focused on critical content areas have been mailed out to families in order to keep our students engaged in learning.
My Project
This project will help improve our efforts with distance learning. Due to the pandemic almost all of my teaching supplies are in the school building and i have no access to them. I need the markers, chart paper, paper, easel, and a selfie ring light to assist me with making videos of myself teaching lessons to my students in order to help us to stay connected and for them to continue to practice their skills and learn.
These materials will help me to improve my videos and lessons that are being delivered to my students via the internet.
I will be able to make anchor charts to improve the lessons and with the lighting the students will be better able to see the video lessons.
