We have a wide range of students with diverse interests in art. Our students come from tribal lands in New Mexico, have moved here from all across the country, from Central and South America, and some are native to our town. However, more than half come from low-income households.
Our art program provides an amazing education to kids from all backgrounds and walks of life.
As students learn, the art program provides an academic class where students succeed. In art, there are very few wrong answers, so students have access to a class where they can be successful from day one! Thank you for considering equipping our class to be the best it can be!
My Project
Many of my students come from homes that don't have art supplies available. These are basic art supplies that many of my students don't have and may not be able to afford.
During these chaotic and uncertain times, please help my students continue working on their art while they are at home.
I would like to provide materials that students can come and pick up from school as needed so they can not only have access to online learning but for tangible art learning as well. Shifting a school's worth of learning to an online platform is difficult, but made even more so for students who don't have basic art supplies at home.
