My wonderful English learners are trying their best to navigate distance learning. Obstacles, many out of their control, are trying to keep them from accessing their education, but my students are still finding ways to make it to English class. The language barrier for both students and parents, slow or no internet access, and an inability to troubleshoot technology are just a few of these obstacles. My students need activities that they can complete using the various platforms their schools are using for instruction and can be downloaded for use when there is no Internet access.
My Project
Learning how to navigate distance learning is difficult for everyone, but even harder for students and their families who do not yet have the ability to listen, speak, read and write in English. My students need activities that they can access on the platforms like SeeSaw and Google Classroom. My six schools and students are using different platforms that require activities to follow certain requirements to be used.
