This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
After an abrupt change to our daily routine, my students and I are adapting to our new way of teaching and learning. To say it's been easy would be a lie, but each week is getting better and better!
My students are eager to learn!
Some are able to join me in Google Meets, but most do not have devices. This requires me to create the same plan (because I desire all students to get the same material) both digitally and paper/pencil packets.
The students want to remain engaged and connected. They search for each other at food distribution sites and will often ask about another classmate that they haven't seen in a while. We truly miss one another!
My Project
None of my students took any of their supplies from their desk the last day they were in school. The supplies that remain in their desk were gifts from our special donors.
The colored pencils will help inspire my students to keep up their creativity while safe at home.
The pouch will help them keep track of their pencils.
The TPT gift card will enable me to save time! I see TPT as one great big collaboration of the most creative educators in the world. Why reinvent the wheel when colleagues are willing to share their resources?
