This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are terrific young people trying to make their best lives in rural Alabama. Our school serves K-12 students from Thomaston, Alabama, and the surrounding area. ALJ is a Title I school due to the intense poverty here. All our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
In our Biology class, we are learning about living things and how they function.
Dissecting frogs is an important part of the Biology curriculum.
A class set of prepared frogs will enrich their lives and their learning. Please consider funding our need!
My Project
My Biology students can't wait to dissect a frog. From day one, they consistently ask if we will be dissecting a frog. Well, a set of prepared frogs and a dissection model to aid in teaching proper technique will make their dream a reality.
Gross but effective, nobody ever forgets dissecting a frog in Biology class.
It is benchmark experience for students. Your contribution will allow my students to create lasting memories of science class, and might even inspire one of them to become a surgeon or veterinarian!
I need prepared dissection specimens for my students; please consider funding our need.
