Help me give my students the ability to share their work and become experts in our classroom. Our whiteboard will replace our out dated projector screen so we can view, mark-up, and present our work in meaningful ways!
I have the hardest-working class. My kids give their all to everything that they do, persevere through challenges, and are working on developing a great growth mindset. They will make great community leaders one day, and I am always so excited to see how they tackle problems.
My students bring unique backgrounds and experiences to our classroom every day and our diversity in academic, social, and economic needs is what makes us so well-equipped for the future.
We love learning together and are always looking to stretch our thinking in order to demonstrate our learning in a variety of ways.
My Project
This year our district has moved towards a workshop model in all content areas. One large component of the workshop model is using student work and examples to help other students better understand concepts and to help move them forward using samples and language that they can grab onto. Currently, my classroom has an outdated projector screen that doesn't really allow for effective sharing of student work.
This whiteboard will help bring student work to life and really increase productive discourse across all subject areas.
By allowing students to project onto a whiteboard, they will be able to mark, edit, adjust, make connections, and build on what they already know, as they become the expert instructors.
We know that sit and get instruction is ineffective and doesn't help students develop strong conceptual understanding. By allowing students to display, discuss, and collaborate on their work, our whiteboard will greatly improve the learning that happens in our classroom.
