My Students

We teach the population of the school that has been identified as Gifted or Academically Talented. The students excel in school and enjoy an environment that has been decorated or personalized to their interests. We want to encourage kindness and other positive social mores as they are entering adolescence.

Posting decorative positive messages along the halls, classrooms, restrooms, and lockers can help students to remember not only their own value as young adults but also the value in the others around them.

My Project

Students' learning is enhanced when the children feel safe and valued in their learning environment. Decorating their classrooms and other school locations with messages of encouragement, kindness, and other social mores can help them to grow into young adults that feel accomplished and happy.

The Silhouette cutting machine and materials will allow me to display aesthetically pleasing images and words of encouragement.

These should reinforce the students' morale and sense of social standing. As the students see the messages reminding them of kindness and other social skills, they can continue with their day, growing in academic learning and a sense of community.
