Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is located in North Dallas. My students are predominantly refugee students from six different countries. Their families fled their native lands due to war and destruction, with the hope of a better life for their children. Often, this is the first experience families have with the public school system, because of this, communication is primarily through hand gestures and smiles.
My students are wide-eyed and anxious to learn.
Their parents understand the importance of education and even though they don't speak the language themselves, they will do anything needed for their kids.

Student learning is enhanced when the display is vivid, captivating and easy to see, thus the perfect teaching easel is necessary for all teachers.
I'd love to add this beautiful piece of furniture to our classroom. It is functional, rolls from place to place, and easy to use for many subject matters.
In my classroom, my students are the TEACHERS!
I love seeing the students bloom into teachers. They stand up next to the classroom easel and teach masterfully to their peers. It's an amazing process of diffusion from teacher to student to peers. Students will use this easel to master the art of teaching and to demonstrate their learning.
