Disney's Direct Hands-On Approach to Save Environment
My students need some ear phones and one small refrigerator in order to achieve their individualized education plan (I.E.P.) goals and be able to save the environment.
Imagine living in a neighborhood that is infested with gangs and criminal activities; that is the reality for my students. With your help, my students will be able to transform their neighborhood through hands-on recycling projects.
My students have learning disabilities and would definitely benefit from having a recycling center and a technology center in the classroom.
Each group will have accessibility in technology to help them with researching relevant environmental, active community recycling program that are geared toward reducing waste, actively identifying problems and seeking feasible solutions. They will learn to store/preserve data and prevent them from decomposing; when necessary utilize for further studies and research that geared toward helping our environment.
I have requested for several head-phones and a small refrigerator for my students to help them realize the significant impact waste have on our livelihood and environment. My students will be able to motivate and empower themselves to reduce, re-use, and recycle products that is part of their daily lives. My students will be able to have the opportunity hear natures at its best through the use of head-phones; they will gather, save and preserve their data in a refrigerator as they continue to actively learn and inspire themselves and others to save our environment.
This project is very important because it will help accommodate my students with real-life activities and the ability to do something about waste reduction.
Additionally they will actively be engaged in hands-on activities to solve waste problems. My students will empower themselves with the ideology that they can also make an impact to save our environment in their life-time.
