Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are hardworking individuals who are excited to show their myriad of talents. The students in our musical are 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. This is going to be the first musical experience that all of them are going to be in. Through a partnership with Theater Trust, we were offered the opportunity to produce and perform the Disney musical, Frozen. We are an elementary school in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, just North East of Minneapolis, which consists of a very diverse population. Valley View Elementary is a school where kindergartners through 5th graders attend. Our community and neighborhood is very supportive and really look forward to seeing our kids partake in this phenomenal experience.
Through this partnership, we are providing students access to an amazing opportunity that they have been not presented with in previous years.
We are elated to see our students flourish through this experience.
We will be performing at our school on May 6th and 7th 2020. They will have a unique opportunity on a professional stage on May 18th, 2020.
My Project
This is the first year our school has ever done a musical and the students involved have been working hard on not only singing, dancing, and memorizing lines, but also building confidence! It would amazing to have students have an official Anna, Elsa, Olaf and everything in between.
This amazing experience will be enhanced by your generous donations so that we can truly experience Disney Magic!
