I teach the Early Childhood Special Education and Title I Program for children ages 3 to 5. Each of my students learn their very best in a unique way and we celebrate that in my classroom.
I believe in instilling a love for learning by making it meaningful, exciting, and student-centered.
My students walk into the classroom each and every day with a smile on their face and are ready to dance, sing, play, and learn!
My goal as an educator is to teach young children to tap into their curiosity through movement, exploration, and creativity and to use their energy to motivate them to continually seek out new knowledge.
My Project
Science and math are subjects that intrigue young minds. Too often we find ourselves going over the same mundane materials. My students need new, fun, exciting ways to discover the science and math that is all around them!
My students are more engaged and active in their learning when they can be hands on, innovative, and problem solvers.
The science discovery chest will allow my students to dive into science by presenting three different areas of exploration. Adding in the real bugs kit will take learning about insects to new levels! Studying magnets can be enhanced by learning to follow visual directions as presented in the magnet rings activity box. Lighting up math learning on our light table will be much easier with math table trays.
Preschool children are naturally curious. These math and science kits will allow them to take their curiosity and apply it directly to their learning. What a great way to put them in charge of their own learning!
