My students need musical instruments to express themselves through sound and dance. They will be learning to express themselves through music while learning that cooperation with others brings enjoyment.
Do you remember those carefree childhood days? I sure remember mine. Head Start gives children in low economic high-risk households those days. I have the privilege of giving these students the opportunity to experience new adventures through music and dance. Music and Dance help the children learn to express themselves through sound and movement. Which enhance there senses.
I learn new things from the children each day.
Due to the fact that our children come from low-income families, we want to provide them with as many opportunities to experience new things as possible because they may not have these experiences at home.
My Project
Music is an essential part of every child's development. Music lights up their eyes. Music helps develop fine motor skills, help memory powers, and teaches cooperation.
Music inspires a creative spirit, but we need musical instruments to make music.
Whether it's making up the lyrics to songs or dancing to the beat. Children will tap into their inner creative spirit, releasing emotions. Seeing their eyes light up when they tap a rhythm together or move to the tempo, makes a child smile. A smile makes the world a better place.
With music, kids can express themselves, improve their skills and practice performing in front of others.
