My Students

My students have had rough years in the past. They have been labeled as "that class" that all the teachers struggled with and couldn't get under control. I have not seen that side of my classroom in months.

This year, my students are thriving unbelievably well.

They work very hard all day long, whether it's in my classroom or their specials. They are getting compliments from everyone - teachers, administration, etc. and they are on the path to proving how amazing they can be.

My Project

These materials will help give my students a more hands-on approach to mathematics. We are currently sharing all our manipulatives among small groups, so each student doesn't get the full opportunity to learn from a hands-on experience, more like taking a back seat and watching while others are working.

If my students are able to have a more hands-on approach in math, they will be able to connect to the content and have a more meaningful experience.

Right now, we are really struggling with learning the basics of decimals and division, which will lead to more problems as we continue into fractions.
