My Students

Our students are AMAZING! However, we live on a reservation and unfortunately many of our students have already experienced a great deal of trauma. They love to be creative and soak in the opportunity in school technology as they have limited resources at home. Our kiddos feel comfort in our school, knowing they will be loved, fed and cared for.

No matter what is transpiring at home the majority of our students come ready to learn!

School is a place our students look forward to coming. I love seeing their smiling faces and enjoy the many hugs. They inspire me each and everyday.

My Project

Learning hands on and seeing your coding results actually move a physical object would inspire anyone! Sphero Edu uses app-enabled robots to foster creativity through discovery and play, with a foundation for computer science. Sphero Mini will nurture students’ imaginations across all skill levels, allowing us to reach Kindergarten thru 4th grade.

According to Steve Jobs, "Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think."

You may think buy why? Not everyone wants to work with computers.

Coding is so much more than the computer aspect. It helps students gain skills such as sequencing, problem solving, math concepts, as well as perseverance so that they will become better readers, writers, and mathematicians. All students gain life-long skills throughout this process.
