Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help support over 350 economically challenged students through open ended play-based learning. Play-based learning gives students an opportunity to grow in so many areas including oral language, writing, fine motor skills, mathematical skills and book and print awareness and also the social aspect of taking turns and how to be a good citizen.
Over 350 students in our school love our dramatic play centers and I would love to be able to provide more dramatic play opportunities through a Doctor's Office, Veterinarian Clinic and a Fire Station.
These opportunities will allow students to use their imaginations and self-expression while learning real life and social skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.
