Students at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. They are fearless when it comes to trying new things. As children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world.
With their inquisitive and creative nature I want to foster in them the overwhelming desire to dive in to any task ,and using books as a resource to overcome any obstacles they have .
Do you remember getting hooked on a series of books as a child? Think of the anticipation and excitement you felt waiting for and then finally reading the prized next installment in your favorite series. I want to install that feeling into my young readers I want them to learn to love and want to share that same excitement and joy of waiting for and then finally devouring the newest books in their favorite series.
My Project
Helping students learn that reading is fun is the perfect way to build better readers. My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. My school media center doesn't have a large collection of books, so I would like to have books that will hold their interests and keep them reading in my classroom.
