My Students

My students are part of a rural community in Central Oklahoma. While they are enthusiastic about learning, there are many roadblocks we face within my classroom. One to one technology is a newer concept in our district. Many of my students are unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the digital world.

I am teaching them to bridge the gap between what they are used to using and the future of technology in education.

They want to learn on a level equivalent to those in more affluent school communities.

My Project

My students struggle to use the track pad on their Chromebooks. With a wireless mouse, my students will be more productive in navigating and creating in their digital world.

Using the mouse will allow them to create projects such as Minecraft to digitally present environments learned through their literary analysis of the texts within my classroom.

Applications such as this do not allow creation through trackpad use alone. I need the mice in my classroom in order to make applications like Minecraft fully functional. With your support, my students will make great strides in their comprehension of larger literary ideas.
