My Students

Our students from historically rural Tennessee attend Title I Schools.

These students are bright, loyal, funny, focused, inventive, and talented.

They don't always have access to the same experiences that their counterparts in more populated areas of Tennessee have. Disc Golf is one of the fastest-growing recreational sports in the world. Course are popping up all over the world. We want to provide our students with these transferable skills that will position them with a lifelong physical activity that many towns and cities have. We even have the chance to help our local recreation department to redesign it's disc golf course!

My Project

Students will utilize the skills and resources from EDGE to learn about disc golf, help redesign their city's disc golf course, learn practical Algebra like positive and negative numbers, and begin to gain an understanding of aerospace terms like trajectory, aerodynamics, and flight distance!

Disc golf will help them build confidence in a sport that they can play for the rest of their lives and give them a social connection to fellow citizens in their community, across the state, region, country, and ultimately around the world.

We believe it will change their lives!
