Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are in an area that is listed as having critical needs which need no explanation. That only describes the area because, with the students' high energy and ability to adapt to some of their adverse conditions, they can still adapt to the current pandemic. Many of my students are not yet eligible for the vaccine because of their age but despite the risk, they come to school every day to learn.

Despite the many challenges we face ahead with the return of in-person learning, I am looking forward to continuing to provide each of my students with the materials they need.

My Project

The tablets can be distributed to the students during class allowing for students who may have issues focusing resulting in missed instructions or opportunities for clarification. By having tablets, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!

My students like to be comfortable while they are learning so these tablets will allow them to utilize some of the flexible seating in our classroom by being able to move freely.

They can also use the tablets to reinforce concepts taught in large and small groups. The tablets will also provide remediation as well as soar opportunities for students.

Many of my students do not have access to the internet outside of our school setting so they will be excited to explore online learning activities in the classroom.

When funded, these tablets will allow fantastic and motivational opportunities for my dynamic group of learners. A donation to our project will be greatly appreciated.
