Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am proud to be a teacher in Texas. We are located at the very tip of Texas where the majority of our student population are English Language Learners who come from low socioeconomic households and are considered at-risk.

We have a diverse population that includes students with special needs and students diagnosed with dyslexia, as well as gifted and talented students.

These children learn and thrive among one another on a daily basis in our classroom. Their desire to succeed and flourish is not defined by their "labels". When one of us succeeds, we all do. We consider our classroom a family.

My Project

I am requesting a Yeedi Vac station Robot vacuum which will enhance the healthy classroom environment that I aim to create. We sweep, wipe down surfaces and dust on a daily basis; however, there are little particles that are left behind after sweeping.

This robot vacuum and mop will navigate around and under furniture to get remnants left from the broom.

The children will also practice coding by programming the vacuum on which area to clean. A clean classroom will maximize the learning experience of the students.

With the current surge of infections we continue to be vigilant and do everything we can to ensure a clean and safe learning environment. When classrooms are neat and tidy, children can put their focus on the task at hand.

A clean environment translates to the health and safety of everyone.

The cleanliness of our classroom environment helps instill pride in the children of where they learn and motivates them to do their best everyday!
