My Students
I work with a diverse group of students who are full of curiosities and a love for learning. This group of students have a love for hands-on activities and anything that incorporates play with learning. Being in a Title I school means many of my students do not have the same opportunities as those families who are more well off. With that in mind, my team is working towards closing the opportunity gaps in education and combating the cycle of poverty.
My Project
With the new school year in full swing, I am looking for ways to better connect with my students and peak their interests. I have discovered that many of my students have an infinite love for dinosaurs. The dinosaur figures will enhance the block and LEGO center in particular. These items will help build students' motor skills, encourage imagination, and give them an opportunity to practice sharing and playing with others. The Jurassic dinosaur STEM items will provide students with the opportunity to learn facts and scientific terms about dinosaurs. The hands on puzzle pieces will be especially powerful for my ELL students.
