My Students

My students are currently 2nd graders in a school district in IL. I have very diverse students who love to challenge themselves in math, reading chapter books and creating fictional characters. We love to spend time learning about new ideas and thinking outside the box. Most of my students are interested in the love of making and viewing videos. Many dream to become You Tubers and have goals to be the best at whatever they do!

My students love hands-on learning and creating projects from informational text.

My Project

This year our students are learning about dinosaurs. We are doing several projects with the dinosaurs. We then will create what we call Dinosaur Land.

This Dinosaur Land will include models of dinosaurs and examples of land forms to create a beautiful visual of what our world was like 230 million years ago.

Students will design their dinosaurs out of clay and use clay to roll and shape various land forms. Students will use the knowledge that they have learned throughout the weeks. We have studied the dinosaurs and the earth around that time. We have read and used many resources to help with research.
