My Students

My Special Education classroom is full of love, laughter, and learning. My students live life with varying disabilities, but that does not stop them from working hard and overcoming obstacles. Each and every one of my students inspire me on a daily basis.

My students deserve a space that is as bright and cheerful as they are.

A room that inspires them to learn, grow, question and persevere. Students thrive in a space that is safe and sparks their imagination.

My Project

Many of my students have learning difficulties and have a hard time focusing when overhead lights are on. By shading the overhead lights with fire retardant material, I will be able to create an environment that will foster learning.

Bright lights are nice, but not when you are trying to focus and learn.

Creating a warm space will create a safe environment for my students to learn in. Many of my students come to my classroom because it is safe and they are able to be themselves without the pressure of their peers. Please help me make it even safer.
