My students need a MacBook Pro computer to use in the classroom for educational learning and instructional use. I feel as if my special needs students would benefit from the use of a MacBook.
Severe special needs students. When some people hear the words "severe" or "special needs" they disregard everything else mentioned. Some people do not care to help those with challenging disabilities. But these are the children that need help the most.
I am a special education teacher with 15 students in a self contained setting who suffer from severe disabilities in grades 2nd-5th.
My school specifically serves a wide range of special needs children throughout the county. I hope to increase my students capability of learning and growing despite their everyday challenges. These children need the opportunity to have the resources available for them to learn, dream, and go beyond expectations.
My Project
A MacBook Pro will be of great use in my special needs classroom. Having a MacBook in the classroom will allow me, as the teacher, to work toward growing and progressing the minds of my special needs students. We will be able to use the laptop for all types of educational and instructional use. The MacBook will be able to connect to our classroom projector for whole group lessons. We will also be able to use the MacBook for independent use on Starfall and Moby Max educational learning websites. My severe special needs students enjoy technology and will benefit in various ways from the use of a MacBook.
