Help me give my students additional digital resources and materials to extend into the new year as we continue our school year, virtually!

I teach at a model school that incorporates performing arts, visual arts, coding, computer science, financial literacy, and STEM (STEAM) within the curriculum. Our urban school receives federal funding for programs that provide free breakfast and lunch for every student, and Title I services to economically-disadvantaged boys and girls. We are a class that includes military families, gifted/talented students, ESL/ELL students, inclusion/special education students, and the tech-savvy. My students are energetic and very busy within the classroom. Even with parental support, I would love to say that my students have everything that they need to be successful but they don't.
School bells are not ringing inside traditional buildings but from bedrooms, family rooms, and kitchen tables.
Fifteen new second-grade students are not walking into a regular classroom. They will be experiencing a hybrid school year that alternates between virtual and in-person learning. How do you try to teach community and content from a distance when you don't know the students yet? And what they need more than ever are materials and resources in their hands and at homes.
We started this school year virtually for the first five months for all students, families, and teachers. Now we know that we will continue to be virtual after the new year. I need to continue making sure that my students have the necessary materials and supplies to get through the rest of this school year. Turning a traditional classroom into a virtual learning space meant that I needed to create engaging activities and experiences that will allow my students to participate and collaborate with their peers. Creating that social setting that makes it okay for each child to feel like they belong and have value.
We Are All In This Together!
I am requesting additional Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards to purchase more digital resources for the second semester that can be integrated with Google Classroom, Nearpod, and other online tools and platforms that we will be using. Having brain breaks, check-ins, and movement moments will help with social-emotional concerns that being away from a normal, school setting will create. Right now, I don't have the time to create those resources. Using the resources from this site will allow me to give my time and energy to be available for each and every one of my students.
