My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district. My students are faced with several obstacles both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many obstacles they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences. Our school district is currently closed due to the pandemic and in financial turmoil; therefore, our school budgets have been cut in half. We thank you in advance for your kind donations.

My students are creative, smart, and very eager to learn.

They like to move, they love to read, and they love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Also, my students are currently learning remotely from home and don't have even the basic essential materials to do their assignments. I'm currently teaching my students via Zoom classroom meetings and assigning homework with via Seesaw. So any kind donation is welcomed. Thank you for assisting me in helping our little ones in receiving the best education possible!

My Project

Our school closed quickly and suddenly due to the pandemic with very little opportunity to retrieve significant resources to help us transition to distance learning.

Technology is paramount and plays an important part throughout every part of our culture.

It affects how we live, work, play, and learn. The HP laser printer will help me scan and upload valuable resources in language arts and math my students can use and complete. We have transitioned to paperless homework via Seesaw, an awesome distance learning application. Many homework assignments can be uploaded via Seesaw as pictures or PDFs.

The HP laser jet printer will allow me to more easily edit documents versus using my phone. Also, having toner to print student reports will help me keep more organized and accountable. I have an older printer/scanner at home that is no longer working well and needs to be replaced. Additionally, I have some language arts and math resource manuals at home that I would like to scan and upload to provide valuable instructional support for my students.

Thank you for assisting me in helping our little ones in receiving the best education possible! Finally, something important to consider is that most of these materials are very durable and can last for a long time.
