My students need a digital camera to add photos to a class newspaper.
This project expired on March 14, 2011.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Say cheese! Remember the first time you held a camera in your hand and actually took pictures? Children love to document events and have a greater connection to the event when they actually took the picture. Children will be taught the basic functions and settings of the camera.
Our school has about 575 students that come from middle to low income families.
There are quite a few grandparents raising grandchildren as well as blended families. The students in our school do not have access to their own digital camera and most do not have a computer for home use.
Putting a digital camera in the hands of a child and allowing them to take pictures will inspire them to look at the world through a new set of lenses. Children will take ownership of the class newspaper and will love having the tools they need to feel like an official reporter!
My project will put smiles on the faces of many students in the building!
This inexpensive tool will enhance lessons taught. Children today are digital natives and can easily learn to use the camera and the editing software. Thanks for your support!
