Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students at our rural high school are fantastic students who love engaging projects and challenges for our Digital Media class! With the unknown about remote learning in our state we would need more options for camera tripods, iPad tripods and good audio using microphones to get our best product.
Our Nebraska school is in the middle of the United States and my students deserve good equipment to make excellent technology projects.
They are truly a great group of kids and I am lucky and grateful to have such a great group of learners.
My Project
My students are doing great digital media projects but we need the latest advancements in our class to prepare students for college and career readiness. Education is changing everyday, just like technology. We need USB microphones to use with our classroom desktops or remote learning laptops. Along with new microphones we need studio headphones and new tripods to create our footage.
We have students with multiple learning abilities in our class and having the latest technology will help assist all learners to produce quality projects.
My students would truly benefit and love the new equipment in this Donors Choose project. As this class continues to attract students to use video and multimedia in own class projects, it has also stirred other teachers to think outside the box to incorporate A/V technology in project-based learning. My students will love this equipment and immediately use it for their fantastic projects!
