My Kindergarten Scholars are my Super Heroes! When Hurricane Harvey struck our community they questioned the devastation it brought to their families and hardships of boat rescue efforts and this is why they are my Inspiration for they have proven their resilience and remain optimistic through their recovery process. They are true millennial pioneers that have initiated a mindset of pursuing and exceeding their potential no matter what type of setbacks or obstacles they encounter.
My Kindergarten scholars are inquiry-based learners, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers who have the energy and drive to exceed expectations and to overcome low socio-economic statistics that our students are not supposed to succeed but if you took one step into our classroom you can see curiosity that drives them naturally.
My students attend a Title I school and more than 80% receive free lunch and free breakfast is offered to each student. As their Bilingual Education Teacher, I am their voice and will always advocate to close the learning gap and help my students succeed despite the low socio-economic school population. Their creativity, drive for knowledge, and determination to overcome all obstacles is why they deserve much more than what they have.

Using technology in our classroom has proved to be successful as a powerful layer of digital versatility to the classroom learning experience for all my Kindergarteners, and Thanks to Donors like you that value our Millennial Generations’ education that has provided a platform to initiate a 1:1 student technology ratio to prepare our nation’s graduates of 2030.
Their learning experiences are monumental to their potential growth and through this Digital Workstation technology (iMacs and iPads ) my students will enhance their learning of foundational reading skills to close the gap in their education and be able to access various online reading programs with minimal technology hardware difficulties. In writing, it will expose more student access to be able to practice their typing and communication skills while completing their assignments. As a precursor to my students reading and writing competence, I will also be able to design and create lesson plans to differentiate interactive lessons to further scaffold their learning in literacy. The USB drives included will be used for ample data storage for my students Digital Workstation projects and the cases and covers will also be used for the protection of these technological devices.
With this project, my students will be able to increase their reading fluency with Informational Book Read Alongs provided with the CD player, speaker, and headphones and the bookmobile and bins will serve to store the literature.
