This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a low socioeconomic background. They are young, intelligent and ready to learn anything that they can. They do not let their economic background become a crutch but rather, they rise to meet the challenge with enthusiasm.

Many of our students aspire to become doctors, lawyers, veterinarians, educators and medical staff, but they need help to achieve those dreams.

They show their strengths and practice on their weaknesses to become better than when they began the year.

My Project

The tablets that I am trying to get funded would help my students access online material to help them with Accelerated Reader! Our district pushes the Accelerated Reader program, and our current students come from a very digital world.

At the Liger Library, we are trying to help students learn to use technology and integrate it into their way of life.

Students are already used to using tablets in the classroom, and I would like to teach them how to streamline it into the library.

The tablets would open up more space for students to read books and test for the AR program that is an annual occurrence.
