My Students

My Kindergarten students are smart and exciting children. They love to learn about new and exciting things. I teach in a Title I school. Most of our children are from single parent homes. We are a neighborhood school, and I am very proud to teach at our school. The students in my classroom each come with their own way of learning. It is my goal to establish a foundation of learning in my students that they will become productive citizens. Each of my students deserves the best tools to help them learn.

My Project

We have only three computers in my classroom, and I have to rotate my students around to get them to complete the district's requirements of 45 minutes of reading and math on the i-Ready program. It is difficult to ensure that all my students meet the requirements weekly.

I have students who don't have access to computers at home.

Another form of technology will not only increase their knowledge of other technology devices, but will also help reach their goal of meeting the 45 minutes each week in both subject areas. My students come to me with knowledge of only one type of technology, which is the laptop that is provided. Students need to use other devices to understand that learning comes in all forms of technological devices.
