My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
They are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world.
The Osmo Genius Kit is a fantastic method of allowing children to be the directors of their own learning. They will learn to work together and problem solve as they work with the math and coding kits, and will be practicing very important kindergarten skills while still having tons of fun! They will be able to use the kits daily in small groups, for individual practice, and even in STEAM centers. This is an interactive way for them to practice math and reading skills, and also introduces them to coding. The Osmo kits allow students to play beyond the screen, and allows them to collaborate while manipulation at tables or on the floor with tangible game pieces such as number tiles, letter tiles, and coding blocks.
