My students need Kindle Fire Tablets to be able to access and use during station time. This will allow them to use RAZ-kids, MobyMax, and other age appropriate digital software to enhance their digital learning.
I am currently teaching 20 amazing first graders. My school is based in Fayetteville, North Carolina not far from Fort Bragg which is the largest military base in the United States of America. My class have such an appetite to learn and it is such a rewarding feeling to see them so excited. We have a high population of military children in our school. A high proportion of the children in my class have parents currently serving in the US military.
My Project
Children need access to technology in an ever increasing technological world. In my classroom I use various forms of technology to enthuse, inspire, and enhance the children's learning opportunities.
Children use technology to connect with others and expand their learning environment beyond the classroom.
Children's engagement increases with the use of technology and this can only be fully achieved when there are adequate quantities of technology equipment.
Being able to provide these tablets for my class would mean so much to them, resulting in their excitement to learn and natural curiosity. We will use the kindles for them to extend their learning opportunities in Math and Reading. I have been using Google Classroom to bring my classroom into the digital age and being able to use them during small group and center time.
