Digital Learning During Pandemic

Help me give my students 25 Dell Chromebooks for Non-Traditional Instruction during COVID-19 Pandemic.

My Students

I teach a group of students who live in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. There is an equal mix of girls and boys. They are fun-loving, bright, energetic, and extremely eager learners. They each absorb information like a sponge and love learning to the fullest. They come from homes rich in love, low-income, and all receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are at the beginning stages of reading, writing, and math.

Their focus should be on learning, rather than what they don't have or what they need to be successful in school.

My Project

I am requesting Dell Chromebooks to be used by my students during this COVID-19 disruption. Currently, I have students who have no access to computers to complete digital learning activities. With these materials, that will change. I will be able to provide these devices to my students who will be able to use ReadingEggs and Zearn, online resources to reinforce and practice first grade reading and math skills. Students will be able to develop fluency, comprehension skills, word attack strategies, and math skills.

My students are suffering as a result of the limitations placed on them with the current paper packets they have.

Help me change that with these much needed devices. Students will be able to check out these Chromebooks and use them during this Pandemic. Be a part of providing a gift that will continue year after year....the gift of learning! Your support is greatly appreciated.
